School Rules

Uniform :

1. Students must come to school in neatly laundered uniform (summer/winter) and polished shoes. The hair should be trimmed and the nails must be cut regularly. Girls with long hair should make two plaits with white ribbon and those having short hair should wear white hairband.

2. Students must be in proper uniform when they come to school at all occasions.

3. In order to ensure security and safety of the students, they are being given an identity card. It is compulsory for the students to wear the card in the campus. The card carries all details of the student.

General instructions for –

PARENTS :

1. Parents should not visit any class or interview a teacher or counselor except after seeking the approval of the Principal. Parents can meet the Principal on all working days, after taking prior appointment.

2. Teachers of this school do not accept private tuitions. Please do not approach the Principal for permission.

3. If parents want their children to come home early for some pressing reason, they should make a written request to that effect and must make a proper arrangement to take them home.

4. If a child has any health problem and needs specific care, the parent makes certain to inform the class teacher in writing.

5. In case a student is not able to adjust himself/herself to the school environment he/she shall leave the school. A student repeating for the third year in the same class will not be able to continue in this school.

6. Whenever parents/guardians come to the school to meet their wards, they must visit the reception and take prior permission. Parents are advised not to meet their wards at an unauthorized place or time.

7. Discrimination against or providing any special privilege for student on the ground of caste,creed,language,place of origin, social and cultural background or any of them is strictly prohibited.

8. A student suffering from any contagious/infectious disease should not be sent to school, till the student is free from infection. This is essential not only for the health of recovered patient but also for health of classmate who may fear catching the infection. It is suggested that the medical officer should certify that not only the child is fully recovered but he/she is also not infected.

9. Please do not send the child to the school with valuables/jewellary.

10. Report cards of students would be given to them 10 days after the test but where the teacher wants to discuss the child's progress with parents, these will be given to parents. Due information would be given to them.

11. The environment at home should be in keeping with the school principles. Please do not frighten the child in any manner. Try to give straight forward answers to questions put by the child.

12. The Progress Report Book is designed primarily to apprise the parent of the student's progress. It should be signed sssand returned immediately.

13. Violence in school campus such as pushing, swearing, shoving, biting, hitting and kicking each other are unacceptable, even if done in fun. Physical assault will be dealt severely, by even suspension. It is very important for parents to discuss the policy with their children. The school needs parental support in this endeavor.

14. As a parent,I understand that all activities conducted along with regular academic classes add to the personality of my ward and therefore permit my ward to participate in all such activities(Annual Function, Annual Sports, Study tour, Excursions, Sahodaya events, CBSE cluster activities, USO festival etc.). I shall give in writing to the school authorities my refusal with valid reasons if I want my ward to be exempted from any such or any specific activity. also understand that compared to the safe environment of the classroom, such outdoor activities involves multiple challenges and risks and the school ensures all safety measures, even then, I shall not hold school responsible for any untoward incident that happens while travelling/ undertaking such activities

STUDENTS :

4. Students should avoid vulgarity in talk and behavior.

5. They should desist from undesirable behavior like whistling, shouting or running in corridors while in the school.

6.Students are expected to observe certain discipline and decorum in their behavior in and outside the school as it reflects the image of the school.

7. Use of motorbikes/scooters without proper license is strictly prohibited in the school.

8. Students are not allowed to wear jewellery, expensive watches or bring cameras, mobile phones, calculators etc. to the school.

9. No student should indulge in any of the following practices-

(a)- Rowdyism and Rude behaviour

(b)- -Use of violence in any form.

(c)- -Casteism, Communalism or practice of untouchability.

(d)- -Insubordination

10. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the school campus without prior permission from the Principal.

11.The students must take care of their belongings like books, money, cloths etc. Anything lost by them in the school shall be deposited in the school office as lost property, which will be given back to the owner on claiming it

12. Students will refrain from damaging any form of school property. The school reserves the right to be compensated by the student for any such damage.

13. Students shall refrain from littering and keep the school premises clean.

14. Any misbehavior or violation of school discipline will be dealt by the disciplinary committee and corrective action will be taken. In extreme cases parents will be called to discuss the child's behavior and may lead to suspension or expulsion from the school.

15. All classwork/homework given to the students must be properly completed and given to teachers on time.

16. Students should be regular and punctual in attending the school.

17. Students are expected to complete the work allotted to them in time. Work submitted late may not be corrected.

18. Neatness in writing and work of quality are essential. Untidy work will not be accepted.

19. Students must be in uniform when they come to school at all occasions.

20. Students must not carry electronic gadgets such as camera, i-pod etc. in any case unless a written permission is obtained from the Principal.

21. No one is allowed to miss the assembly and this is strictly followed even during tests and examinations.

22. Students shall come to reception office to make a phone call if they are sick after informing the class teacher.

23. A minimum of 75% attendance is required for being eligible to appear for the Annual/Yearly exam.

25. Students should use the word "Please" when asking for something and "Thank you" when receiving and "Excuse Me" when other conversation has to be interrupted.

26. Students should respect/ wish their teachers/elders.

27. They should never cheat and or be unfair at play and should be honest.

28. They should stand up gently when a teacher or visitor comes to talk to them.

29. They should not keep hands in their pocket while talking with elders.

30. Changing of classroom between periods should be done in silence and in an orderly manner.

Employee’s Code of Conduct :

1. The employment of the employee starts with a probation period of one year. The period of probation may be extended by the Governing board for a further period not exceeding one year. The total probation period shall in no case exceeds two years.

2. If the work and conduct of the employee, during the period of probation or extended period of probation is not found satisfactory, the service is liable to be terminated without notice before the expiry of the period of probation.

3. After satisfactory completion of probation period, the employee shall be confirmed with effect from the expiry of the said period of probation or the extended period of probation.

4. - Immediately on confirmation, the employee shall be entitled to the benefits of contributory provident fund in case scheme of pension exists in the school and shall be governed by the rules of that funds as in force from time to time.

5. The employee shall be entitled to the benefits of Medical and other facilities as per the school rules.

6. The employee shall during his/her service be eligible, subject to the exigencies of the school, to such leave as is admissible under the Govt.rules from time to time in force; the leave is not claimable as a matter of right but may be granted at the discretion of the governing body of the school/ Principal of the school as per the rules of the school in this regard.

7. The employee shall not leave the station without obtaining the written permission of the authorized officer of the said school.

8. On retirement or otherwise relinquishing the job, except in the case of resignation, after satisfactory completion of services as prescribed by the school Gratuity rules, the employee shall be entitled to the benefit of Gratuity under the school gratuity rules as in force from time to time.

9. During the service, the employee will be liable to disciplinary action in accordance with the rules and regulations framed by the school from time to time even with retrospective effect, for any act of insubordination, intemperance or other misconduct, or the commission often act, which constitutes a criminal offence or of any breach of non-performance of duties or any other provisions of those present or of any rules pertaining to the conduct of the school. these rules will normally conform to the Govt. rules on this behalf.

10. If the employee is suspended from duty during investigation into any charges of his/her conduct, he/she shall not be entitled to any pay during such period of suspension but shall be entitled to receive a subsistence allowance at such rate as may be decided by the committee generally from time to time or at a rate as may be deemed fit. The subsistence allowance shall conform to Govt. rules normally.

11. If the employee is exonerated from the charge brought against him, he/she shall be reinstated in his post and shall be paid his salary for the period, if any, during which he was suspended and subsistence allowance already paid will be adjusted.

12. The Governing body may terminate the service of employee by giving three months' notice in writing in case of confirmed employee or one months' notice in case of temporary employee or by paying a sum equivalent to 3 months' salary or one months' salary which the employee is then drawing. Similarly, if the employee wants to relinquish the job, he shall be required to give three months' notice in writing if he/ she is permanent or one months' notice in writing if he/she is temporary or deposit three month's/one month's salary as the case may be in lieu thereof.

13. The employee will apply himself/herself honestly, diligently and efficiently under the order and instructions of the Governing board/ Principal under whom he shall be placed as teacher/employee in the school and he/she shall discharge all duties pertaining to that office and/or which are necessary to be done in his/her capacity as a force said and will make himself in all respects, generally as useful as may be required of him and shall always act in paramount interest of the institution.

14. The employee shall conform to all the rules and regulations in force in the school and shall carry out all such orders and directions as he shall, from time to time, receive from the Governing body/Principal or any of the authorized members of the staff.

15. The employee shall not apply or appear for interview etc. for any job outside the school without the prior written permission of the authorized officer of the school. If he/ she has already applied before joining this school, it will be his duty to inform the Principal at the time of appointment and seek his/her written permission, if he/she is required to appear for interview later on.

16. The employee shall devote his/her whole time to duties assigned and shall not on his/her account or otherwise directly or indirectly carry on or be concerned in any trade or business whatsoever which is likely to interfere with the due and efficient discharge of his school duties under this agreement or to otherwise prejudicial to the interest of the school.

17. The employee will not on any pretence absent himself from duties without first having obtained the permission of the Principal or in the case of sickness or accident, without forwarding a medical certificate to the satisfaction of the Principal.

18. The employee should not be associated with any political party or participate in any political party programmes on public forum/places.

19. As an employee, neither I nor my spouse/family will involve in monetary (money) collection of any kind from the students or parents without obtaining prior permission from the Principal.
